Resolving the error The document could not be printed when you print from Acrobat Reader

Overcome PDF Printing Errors
In the present scenario, when data sharing has become very very crucial for success of individual professionals as well as organizations, PDF has come up as an answer to many problems. Nowadays, more and more documents are created and shared using the PDF file format.

Although, PDF has many advantages, it’s creation also has some problems attached with it. One of them is that not many havethe application that can create PDF (Portable Document Format) files successfully, occurrence of PDF errors can cause a lot of frustration and delays in getting through with the projects related to these files. Where majority of PDF files might open and work fine, few of them might create some trouble in accessing them. Here we are discussing one such common PDF error and how you can handle corrupt, damaged or inaccessible PDF file using the PDF repair software.

When you print from Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader on Windows, the application displays an error message - “The document could not be printed.”

For dealing with this issue, you will need to follow one of the below mentioned solutions:

Solution 1- If you are printing to a Brother printer, we suggest you to update your printer from Brother Support site as per the given installation instructions.

Solution 2- Print the page as an image, to do so, follow the instructions given below:

1. Open the PDF file in Acrobat.

2. Choose File > Print.

3. Click Advanced at the bottom of the Print dialog box

4. In the resulting Advanced Print Setup dialog box, select Print As Image and click Ok.

Solution 3- You can resolve the error message by deleting the Acrobat preferences folder:

1. Close the Acrobat.

2. Select Start > Run and type %APPDATA%\Adobe\Acrobat\ in the Open text box.
Click Ok

3. Right-click the folder and then click Delete.

4. Start Acrobat and print.

Important- Acrobat preference files include application settings such as toolbar arrangements and so once Acrobat is restarted, new preferences are generated automatically based on application defaults. Also, if you delete the preference files, it will not damage or harm your saved documents.

Solution 4- Try removing all documents in the printer queue.Ensure that there are no multiple documents stuck in the printer queue and if so, delete them:

1. Close the Acrobat.

2. Select Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes.

3. Double-click the printer you are trying to print

4. If there are documents in the queue, select File > Cancel All Documents. Restart your computer.

5. Start Acrobat and print.

Solution 5- Ensure that your printer is online.

1. Close Acrobat.

2. Select Start > Settings > Printer and Faxes.

3. Right-click the printer you are trying to print.

---Check if you come across an option to “Set Printer Online”, if yes, then the printer is offline and so select the option “Set Printer Online”.

---If you see an option to “Set Printer Offline”, then printer is currently online so you can proceed

4. Open Acrobat and print.

Solution 6- Remove and reinstall the printer driver

Sometimes a PDF file contains damaged content such as images or fonts that are not recognized by Acrobat and result in an error. To resolve this problem, you can simply use the option, Print as Image to send an image of the document to the printer. This error can be caused by damaged, corrupt or inaccessible PDF files
In the above scenario, you can successfully recover your data using PDF Recovery software.
